The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced cuts in funding for Emirati students planning to study in the United Kingdom,

citing concerns that students could be radicalized by Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated Islamist groups on British campuses.

Officials noted that this decision reflects a growing perception among certain Arab states that European universities, including in

the UK, may pose a risk of extremist influence on young students. This move underscores the UAE’s cautious approach towards international education and its focus on preventing radicalization.
