Ukraine has launched a large-scale strike on Russia’s Black Sea Fleet, targeting the strategic port of Novorossiysk with a combination of naval and aerial drones.

According to early reports, several explosions were heard near key military facilities in the port, one of Russia’s main naval bases outside Crimea. The attack marks one of Ukraine’s most significant attempts to hit Russian assets deep inside its territory.

While Russian officials confirmed “unmanned surface vessels” were intercepted, local sources reported damage to at least one warship. Emergency crews were deployed to contain fires and assess the scale of destruction.

Novorossiysk, located on Russia’s Black Sea coast, is a critical hub for both military operations and commercial shipping. Analysts say the assault signals Ukraine’s growing use of advanced drone warfare to challenge Moscow’s naval dominance in the region.

The Russian Ministry of Defense has yet to provide full details of the incident, while Ukrainian officials have not issued an official statement.
