The United States has doubled the reward for information leading to the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro to $50 million, up from the $25 million previously announced by the Trump administration in January.

US Attorney General Pam Bondi stated that Maduro is considered one of the world’s most significant narco-traffickers, accusing him of collaborating with drug cartels to smuggle fentanyl-laced cocaine into the United States.

The State Department emphasized that this move is part of a broader campaign to crack down on international drug trafficking networks and hold corrupt foreign officials accountable.
