The United States will provide Ukraine with intelligence on potential long-range energy infrastructure targets inside Russia, two officials confirmed to Reuters on Wednesday.

Washington is also considering whether to supply Kyiv with missiles capable of striking such facilities, the officials added.

According to the report, the US has asked NATO allies to extend similar intelligence-sharing support to Ukraine, a move that could expand Kyiv’s ability to carry out strikes deep into Russian territory.

The revelations, first reported by the Wall Street Journal, come amid ongoing debates in Western capitals over the scope of military and intelligence assistance to Ukraine as the war drags on.
