Venezuela’s Foreign Minister Yván Gil has accused the United States of carrying out military aggression against the country, calling it a direct attack on Venezuela’s sovereignty.

According to Gil, President Nicolás Maduro has signed a decree declaring a state of emergency across the entire country in response to what the government describes as an external threat.

The foreign minister claimed that the alleged US action aims to seize Venezuela’s strategic resources, including its vast oil reserves and mineral wealth, as part of an effort to weaken the nation’s political independence.

Gil urged the Venezuelan people to mobilize nationwide, stating that the country must unite to resist what he described as imperialist aggression.

The situation remains tense as regional and international reactions continue to unfold.

This marks a dramatic escalation in the growing US–Venezuela confrontation.
