Vietnam has closed airports, suspended schools, and begun large-scale evacuations as the nation braces for Typhoon Kajiki, forecast to be the strongest storm of the year.

According to Vietnam’s meteorological agency, Kajiki is approaching the central coast with sustained winds of 166 kilometers per hour (103 mph) and is expected to intensify further before making landfall on Monday afternoon.
