The displacement crisis in Myanmar continues to escalate as ongoing violence following the 2021 military coup forces millions to flee their homes.

According to humanitarian organizations, over three million people are now internally displaced, while thousands have sought refuge in neighboring countries, including Thailand, India, and Bangladesh.

Reports highlight indiscriminate airstrikes, the burning of entire villages, and widespread blockades, which have left many without access to food, medicine, or shelter. Aid agencies warn that the situation is worsening daily, with limited international assistance reaching the affected areas.

The United Nations has described Myanmar’s humanitarian conditions as “one of the fastest-growing crises in Asia,” urging the global community to increase support and push for an end to the violence.
