NYC mayoral frontrunner Zohran Mamdani delivered an emotional speech on Friday, defending his

Muslim faith and denouncing what he called “racist, baseless attacks” from his opponents just a day before early voting begins.

Speaking outside a mosque in the Bronx, Mamdani condemned the rising tide of Islamophobia in the campaign, saying his rivals were

“bringing hatred to the forefront.” He emphasized that such attacks not only target him as the Democratic nominee but also deeply affect nearly one million Muslims living across New York City.

He urged unity and respect, calling on voters to reject fear-based politics and “stand for a city that welcomes every faith and every background.”
