The head of the United States Defense Intelligence Agency, Jeffrey Kruse, has been dismissed along with two senior Navy officials in the latest shake-up within the Pentagon.

According to reports, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth ordered their removal after the agency’s preliminary intelligence assessment suggested that the American strike on Iran’s nuclear sites in June caused only limited damage.

The report is said to have angered former President Donald Trump, who had publicly claimed that the attack dealt a heavy blow to Iran’s nuclear program. The dismissal marks the latest in a series of firings within the US defense establishment, reflecting ongoing tensions between intelligence assessments and political narratives.
