A former sanitation worker, who made shocking allegations of mass rapes, murders, and burials in Karnataka’s Dharmasthala, has been arrested by the Special Investigation Team (SIT).

According to official sources, the complainant claimed he worked in Dharmasthala between 1995 and 2014, during which he was forced to bury several bodies, including those of women and minors.

He further alleged that many of the bodies bore signs of sexual assault. The worker had also recorded his statement before a magistrate regarding these claims.

Authorities confirmed his arrest on Saturday, stating that a thorough investigation into the serious allegations is currently underway.
