Former US President Donald Trump has filed a $15 billion defamation lawsuit against the New York Times, accusing

the newspaper of being a “mouthpiece” for the Democratic Party and of spreading false information to damage his reputation.

Trump’s legal team claims the Times deliberately published “defamatory and misleading content” that crossed the line of responsible journalism.

The lawsuit follows reports that the New York Times was warned of possible legal action by the White House after publishing articles

about a crude birthday note allegedly linked to late financier Jeffrey Epstein. The note bore Trump’s signature, but he has strongly denied writing it.

This legal battle highlights Trump’s long-running feud with mainstream media outlets and has once again sparked debate over press freedom, political bias, and defamation law in the United States.
