Legendary Punjabi comedian Jaswinder Bhalla passes away at 65
Mohali: Renowned Punjabi comedian and actor Jaswinder Bhalla passed away at the age of 65 in Mohali. According to reports, he breathed his last at Fortis Hospital, Mohali, after being unwell for some time. His last rites will be held on August 23 at Balongi.
Jaswinder Bhalla’s career spanned more than three decades. He gained immense popularity for his comic timing and iconic roles in Punjabi cinema. In recent times, he was best known for playing Advocate Dhillon in the blockbuster series Carry On Jatta, appearing in all three installments.
Fans and fellow artists have flooded social media with tributes, calling his demise a huge loss to Punjabi cinema. One mourner wrote:
“RIP to one of the greatest Punjabi actors ever known. You will be missed by the entire Punjabi community all around the world. May your soul rest in peace.”
