U.S. President Donald Trump has voiced strong support for NATO forces, saying the alliance should not hesitate to shoot down Russian aircraft that violate its airspace.

Speaking on the issue of regional security, Trump emphasized that NATO’s credibility depends on firm action.

“If Russian planes cross NATO borders, they should be taken down,” he said, underlining his stance on defending allied territory.

The statement comes amid heightened tensions between Russia and NATO members following repeated airspace violations in Eastern Europe.

Analysts believe Trump’s remarks could further escalate the already fragile relations between Moscow and the West.
