Former U.S. President Donald J. Trump is set to make history as the first non-Israeli to receive Israel’s highest state honor.

The Israeli government confirmed the decision today, recognizing Trump’s unwavering support and historic contributions to the Jewish state.

The honor celebrates Trump’s major policy actions during his presidency, including the recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital,

the relocation of the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem,

and his role in the Abraham Accords, which opened diplomatic ties between Israel and several Arab nations.

Israeli officials called the award a “symbol of deep gratitude” toward a leader who, they said, reshaped Israel’s diplomatic landscape.

The award ceremony will be held in Jerusalem later this month, attended by senior Israeli leaders and international dignitaries.
