Kahuta (Special Correspondent) A passenger Toyota Hiace traveling from Hajira (Azad Kashmir) to Rawalpindi met with a tragic accident at Pona Pull, Manda Kas, around 9:15 AM. The vehicle reportedly lost control and fell into the River Jhelum. There were 11 passengers on board.
Casualties
- 6 people died, and
- 5 were seriously injured and shifted to hospitals in Rawalpindi.

- Basit Shah s/o Maqsood Shah (Hajira) – shifted to DHQ
- Sajjad Shah s/o Ali Akbar Shah (Hajira) – shifted to BBH
- Zafar Iqbal s/o Kala Khan (Hajira) – shifted to BBH
- Muhammad Liaqat s/o Muhammad Sadiq (Hajira) – shifted to BBH
- Driver Muhammad Idrees – critically injured
Deceased (Bodies Recovered)
- Muhammad Naeem s/o Basheer Khan (Age: 42)
- Fatima Bibi w/o Basheer Khan
- Muhammad Adeel s/o Muhammad Arif (Hajira)
After the accident, Rescue 1122, Civil Defence, and Police teams reached the scene. A 4-hour-long rescue operation was conducted, during which three bodies were recovered and handed over to be transported to Azad Kashmir.
Assistant Commissioner Kahuta Ayesha Zafar and other local officials were present at the site throughout the rescue efforts.
This tragic incident has cast a wave of sorrow across the entire region.
