Finnish, Syrian presidents discuss democratic transition

Helsinki Finnish President Alexander Stubb met with Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa to discuss Syria’s ongoing political transition.

During the talks, President Stubb voiced strong support for Syria’s move toward democracy,

emphasizing that the participation of all minority groups is essential for lasting stability.

Both leaders described the meeting as constructive and positive, expressing mutual appreciation for the opportunity to engage in dialogue.
