For the first time, Kazakhstanโ€™s GDP per capita has surpassed Russiaโ€™s, according to IMF data. The figure for Kazakhstan reached $14,770, slightly ahead of Russiaโ€™s $14,260.

Historically, Russia had maintained the highest GDP per capita among CIS nations, but this yearโ€™s figures mark a shift in the regional economic standings.
