Two foreign women one from the Netherlands and one from Venezuela living in Spain were allegedly Gang -raped in Lahore, Pakistan, in a case that has sent shockwaves across the country and drawn international attention.
The prime suspect, Raza Dar, is reported to be the grandson of Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. He has been arrested along with four other individuals on charges of Gang rape, kidnapping, and extortion.
How the Alleged Crime Unfolded
According to the First Information Report (FIR) filed with Pakistani authorities, the two victims first met Raza Dar in Singapore in October 2025.
He allegedly invited them to visit Pakistan and arranged their visas personally.
Upon their arrival in Pakistan, the women were allegedly abducted on June 29, 2026.
According to the FIR, they were taken to an abandoned house where they were stripped of their cash, Gang –raped, and subjected to brutal physical assault by Raza Dar and his accomplices.
Threats of Murder and Organ Trafficking
The FIR further alleges that the perpetrators threatened to kill the victims Gang and sell their organs if additional ransom demands were not met.
The women were allegedly subjected to repeated sexual violence, extortion, and death threats during their captivity.
The level of brutality described in the police report has prompted widespread public outrage in Pakistan and internationally.
High-Profile Arrest and Allegations of a Cover-Up
Pakistani authorities confirmed the arrest of Raza Dar and four other suspects following the filing of the FIR Gang .
However, multiple sources allege that authorities have been attempting to suppress or downplay the case due to the political influence of the family involved.
Raza Dar is reportedly the grandson of Ishaq Dar, one of Pakistan’s most powerful political figures currently serving as both Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister.
Critics and civil society groups have raised concerns that the high-profile family connections could compromise the integrity of the investigation and judicial process.
As of the time of publication, neither the office of Ishaq Dar nor Pakistani federal authorities have issued an official public statement on the case.
International Dimensions
The involvement of two foreign nationals one Dutch and one Venezuelan-Spanish gives this case significant international dimensions.
The alleged targeting of foreign visitors, the use of visa arrangements as a lure, and the threats involving organ trafficking are likely to draw scrutiny from the diplomatic missions of the Netherlands and Spain in Pakistan.
It remains unclear at this stage whether the embassies of the two countries have formally contacted Pakistani authorities regarding the case.
